Does a wrap damage my car’s paint?

No — when installed and removed correctly by a professional, a vinyl wrap protects your paint. The adhesive is designed to bond to painted surfaces without leaving residue or causing damage upon removal. In fact, the wrap shields your paint from UV, chips, and contaminants, leaving it in better condition than if it had been exposed.

Can I wrap a leased vehicle?

Yes! This is one of the most common use cases for vehicle wraps. Leases typically require vehicles to be returned in original condition — a professional wrap allows you to completely customize the appearance and then remove it at lease-end, returning the car in factory condition.

Can I wash a wrapped car in an automatic car wash?

Touchless automatic car washes are acceptable in a pinch. However, brush-based automatic car washes should be avoided entirely — the bristles create micro-scratches, particularly on matte, satin, and specialty finish wraps. Hand washing is always the recommended method.

How long does installation take?

A full vehicle wrap typically takes 1–3 business days, depending on vehicle size, wrap type, and design complexity. Partial wraps and spot graphics can be completed in as little as a few hours. Commercial fleet wraps are scheduled to minimize business disruption.

What is the difference between vinyl wrap and PPF?

Vinyl wrap is a decorative film designed primarily for aesthetics (color, finish, graphics), though it does offer some protection. PPF (Paint Protection Film) is a thicker, optically clear or tinted urethane film engineered specifically for protection against rock chips, scratches, and road debris. Colored PPF combines the protection of PPF with the visual transformation of a color change wrap.

Can you wrap over existing damage or dents?

Vinyl does not hide structural damage such as dents, rust, or deep scratches — the film conforms to the underlying surface and these issues will remain visible (and often more obvious) beneath the wrap. We recommend addressing any significant bodywork before wrapping. Minor surface imperfections are discussed during the consultation process.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes. SFG Wraps backs every installation with a workmanship warranty. Vinyl manufacturers also offer their own material warranties. Ask us during your consultation for specific warranty terms for your project.

Can I get a custom design or do I need to provide my own artwork?

Both options are available. SFG Wraps has an in-house design team capable of creating your wrap design from scratch — including brand identity work if needed. If you have existing artwork or brand guidelines, we can work directly from those files. We provide digital mockups on your actual vehicle before any vinyl is printed or cut.
